James has campaigned to ensure Norfolk benefits from the government's investment in 20,000 more police officers across the country. The extra 269 officers for Norfolk are part of that plan along with tougher sentences to fight crime and anti-social behaviour in our communities.

Tackling crime is one of James constituents' highest priorities and having more police officers should help to pursue criminals, keep neighbourhoods safe, protect victims, and reassure the law-abiding majority.

James regularly meets with Norfolk Police to raise constituent concerns about crimes, be briefed on operations against serious criminals, and go out on the beat with the local policing teams including in Lynn and Hunstanton.
