As part of his ongoing commitment to improving access to healthcare, James Wild MP visited Spire King’s Lynn Clinic to see how the facility is supporting patients in North West Norfolk.
James met Nayab Haider, Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital Director, colleagues and members of the clinical team to tour the site and discuss the services provided to patients in King’s Lynn and the surrounding area.
Since opening last autumn, the clinic has seen over 500 patients, most of whom have been NHS funded. It has expanded its services to include cardiology, pain management and plastic surgery, alongside its existing outpatient provision.
Further developments within gynaecology, general surgery and urology mean patients can access treatment more quickly, with the option of robotic-assisted surgery at nearby Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital.
Speaking after the visit, James Wild MP said:
“It was a pleasure to visit Spire’s King’s Lynn Clinic to meet Nayab and the team and see firsthand the impressive new facilities.
“I welcome this new provision which is already giving people in Lynn and surrounding areas quicker access to high quality care in modern purpose-built facilities with an expanding range of specialities.
“It is a very positive addition to our local healthcare offer supporting mainly NHS, as well as independent patients.”
Nayab Haider, Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital Director, said:
“We appreciated the opportunity to share the developments taking place at Spire King’s Lynn Clinic with James and to highlight the ongoing work our teams are doing to support patients across the region.
“Visits like this allow us to showcase our services and discuss how we can continue to work with the NHS, give greater patient choice, and enhance care for our local communities.”
