James Wild MP joined local residents at the inaugural Frontline Festival in King’s Lynn, held at The Walks to celebrate the work of Norfolk’s emergency and frontline services.
The festival, hosted by Norfolk County Council’s Fire and Rescue Service in partnership with Norfolk Police and the borough council, brought together a wide range of organisations, including the East of England Ambulance Service, Coastguard, RNLI, RAF Marham, RAF Lakenheath, the Environment Agency, Norfolk Blood Bikes, and St John Ambulance.
Visitors were able to see demonstrations including a prison service dog display, a road traffic collision exercise with fire cadets, and a police riot demonstration, alongside music performances, food stalls, games, and a children’s fancy dress competition.
James spent time talking to frontline responders and volunteers, thanking them for their dedication and learning more about their work. He said:
“The Frontline Festival was a fantastic opportunity to see first-hand the important work of our emergency services and the volunteers who support them. From demonstrations and displays to music and activities for families, it was great to see the community coming together to recognise and celebrate the people who keep West Norfolk safe.”
