On Sunday 8th June, James Wild MP joined nearly 100 runners on Sunday 8 June 2025 for the Borough Council’s annual Beat the Tide charity run in Hunstanton, raising funds for the Hunstanton RNLI.
Despite a brief delay caused by strong coastal winds, the 5k and 10k races went ahead with a lively warm-up led by Carolyn Flowerdew from Alive Oasis and an enthusiastic start from the RNLI’s mascot, Stormy Stan.
Raising around £1000 for Hunstanton RNLI, James praised the event for its strong community spirit and the important work of the RNLI. Organised by a dedicated team from West Norfolk Athletic Club, Hunstanton Parkrun, and the Borough Council, the event continues to be a popular fixture in the local calendar.
