As part of his ongoing commitment to supporting local business, James Wild MP visited the OMEX Group’s Saddlebow Road site in King’s Lynn to meet Executive Chairman Max Wrinkler, and Site Manager Chris Gipp, hearing about the company’s global operations and its role in supporting growers worldwide.
OMEX is a UK-founded crop nutrition business that develops and manufactures specialist agri-fertilisers and plant health products for farmers and growers in the UK and over 85 countries, and its Saddlebow Road site in King’s Lynn is a key production and laboratory base where products are developed and tested using lab work and controlled growing trials before wider use.
The visit provided an opportunity to gain further insight into OMEX’s product testing, production and export activities, and to see how its work supports farming in North West Norfolk as well as overseas markets.
James toured the company’s laboratories, production facilities and export operations, meeting with the OMEX team to understand how innovation and collaboration underpin the delivery of high-quality agricultural solutions worldwide. He also discussed OMEX’s continued investment in people, technology and sustainable agriculture, alongside the evolving international trading environment, including tariffs and carbon-linked trade rules.
Speaking after the visit, James Wild MP said:
“It was impressive to see a business exporting and operating in so many markets across the world, yet still very much rooted locally through its sites here in King’s Lynn and its investment in jobs and facilities.
“I valued the opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities within the sector, and I look forward to supporting OMEX as they approach their 50th anniversary.”
