James Wild MP is encouraging residents, businesses, and community groups to take part in the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk’s second public consultation on the revised strategic masterplan for the future of King’s Lynn.
The updated masterplan incorporates feedback from the first consultation and sets out a long-term vision to guide regeneration, investment, and development across the town over the next 20 years and beyond. It will also help shape how £20 million of Pride in Place funding is invested locally.
The consultation seeks views on the overall vision for King’s Lynn, proposals for future phases of riverfront regeneration, including improvements around South Quay, King’s Staithe Square, Devil’s Alley, and Boal Quay, as well as plans for six priority regeneration sites: the former Debenhams building, St James Swimming Pool, Common Staithe Quay, Church Street, the Port and Timber Yard area, and sites in West Lynn.
This is the second opportunity for residents to comment before the masterplan is formally presented to councillors for adoption, following the initial consultation held in late 2025 and early 2026.
The consultation is open until Monday 8 June at visionkingslynn.co.uk. Residents who require a paper copy or access to a computer can call the council on 01553 616200 or visit the King’s Court offices. Exhibition boards will also be displayed in the windows of The Place, 23 New Conduit Street, throughout the consultation period.
Residents can also speak directly with the project team at the following drop-in events:
- Tuesday 19 May, 15:45–18:45 - King’s Lynn Library
- Wednesday 20 May, 16:00–18:00 - St James Swimming Pool

James said:
“King’s Lynn has enormous potential and this masterplan is an important opportunity to help shape how our town develops over the coming decades - supporting jobs, attracting investment, and making King’s Lynn an even better place to live, work, and visit.
“This second consultation is an opportunity for residents to have their say on proposals affecting key sites across the town, including the former Debenhams building, the riverfront, and St James Swimming Pool, before the plan is formally considered by councillors. I would encourage residents, businesses, and community groups to take part.”
