King's Lynn was awarded £20 million by the last government and James campaigned successfully for that to be honoured by the new government.
As a result, from 2026 King’s Lynn will receive up to £20m over a 10-year period through the Plan for Neighbourhoods programme. James is keen for as many local people, organisations, charities, and community groups as possible to have their say on where these funds should be allocated.
Areas where these funds could be invested:
- High Streets, Regeneration and Heritage
- Housing
- Work, Productivity and Skills
- Cohesion
- Health and Wellbeing
- Transport
- Safety and Security
- Education and Opportunity
The opportunity for community groups and charities was announced at a Community Conference that took place on Tuesday 22 July at South Lynn Community Centre.
A second Community Conference is due to take place 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday 16 September at the Discovery Centre.
