The National Provider Improvement Programme (NPIP) is an NHS England initiative that provides targeted support and oversight to hospital trusts identified as underperforming against key standards of care and patient outcomes.
Commenting on the announcement that QEH will enter the National Provider Improvement Programme, James Wild MP said:
“When the very disappointing QEH league table ranking came out, I immediately asked the Health Secretary what specific support the NHS would be putting in place to help deliver better care for patients and to reduce waiting times.
“Greater transparency is welcome to help drive better performance. Moving into the national improvement programme should now provide additional support to the new leadership to help drive better outcomes for patients.”
