James Wild MP joined Ed Vaizey on Times Radio for “It’s a Constituency Knockout” which is a Friday feature in which two MPs go head-to-head with facts about their constituencies.
Appearing alongside Jack Abbott MP, James championed North West Norfolk and the people, places and traditions that make it unique.
He began with Lord Nelson who was born in Burnham Thorpe, before highlighting King’s Lynn Guildhall, which lays claim to being the oldest working theatre in the country and the only one in the world that can credibly claim Shakespeare performed there. He finished with one of the area’s most unusual traditions: the World Snail Racing Championships that take place in Congham.
James also spoke about the local issues he is working on, including high heating oil costs, fly-tipping in Clenchwarton, pressures on healthcare services, and his campaign for a new QEH.
