King’s Lynn is set to celebrate a major cultural milestone this summer as the King’s Lynn Festival marks its 75th anniversary with a two-week programme of events.
Running from 12 to 25 July, the festival will bring together around 40 performances and activities across the town’s historic venues, spanning classical music, jazz, folk, theatre, visual arts and more. Founded in 1951, the festival has grown into one of East Anglia’s most established cultural events and a draw for international visitors.
This year’s lineup features a range of world-renowned performers, including cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason and pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason, baritone Roderick Williams, pianist Boris Giltburg, and guitarist Craig Ogden. Jazz will also feature prominently, with MOBO award-winning saxophonist Denys Baptiste leading a special performance celebrating John Coltrane.
The festival continues its commitment to nurturing future talent, with young musicians’ concerts and discounted tickets available for under-18s.
