Voting has now opened for the 2026 Countryside Alliance Awards and James is calling on local people to cast their vote and show support for The White Horse in Brancaster Staithe, which is in contention to win the Pub category for the East of England.
Already an award-winning pub, seafood restaurant and coastal hotel the family-run business is looking to grow its collection of accolades to mark its excellent contributions to the local countryside.
Thousands of nominations from around the East of England have been whittled down to just a few finalists. The public can now decide which of these excellent rural businesses should be crowned champion and be sent to the next stage of the competition.
The winner of each category will go on to represent the East of England in the national champions reception at the House of Lords in July, competing against other finalists from Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the rest of England.
Last year, James was pleased to support Creake Farmers’ Market in the Rural Enterprise category and join them at the Awards in the House of Lords where they were highly commended in the category.
